PSTET 2013 – Apply Online for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test:
State Council of Educational Research & Training, Punjab has issued
notification for conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test – 2013.
Eligible candidates can apply online from 20-11-2013 to 10-12-2013.

Educational Qualifications:
I. Qualifications for becoming Teachers for Class 1 to 5 (Primary Stage):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
II. Qualifications for becoming Teachers for Class 6 to 8 (Elementary Stage):
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed or Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education)

(Special Education)
Examination Pattern:
There will be two papers of PSTET. Paper – I will be for a Person who
intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V, Paper – II will be for a
person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII. Candidates
who intend to be a teacher for both levels (Classes I to V and classes
VI to VIII) can attend for both papers (Paper I & Paper II).
Application Fee:
Candidates belongs to General / BC/ OBC must pay the fee of Rs.500/- as
application Fee, SC/ST category/Differently abled candidates must pay
Rs.300/- as application Fee for Only Paper I or II. General /OBC
candidates who intend to apply for both papers 1 & II must pay
Rs.1000/- and SC/ST must pay Rs.600/-. Candidates should pay the fee
through the Challan and deposit the prescribed fee in the AXIS bank or
Online payment through Credit / Debit Card. Ex-Servicemen are exempted
from payment of fees.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination.
How to Apply: Candidates have to apply online
for the PSTET-I or PSTET-II or both, through the website
www.tetpunjab.com from 20-11-2013 to 10-12-2013. The candidates who are
interested for both PSTET-I & PSTET-II, have no need to apply
separately, only single registration is sufficient. Candidates should
take the print of the conformation page, sign on it & pastes his/her
recent passport size photograph at the specified place and must be
dispatched in an Envelope of size 12 x 9 and paste address slip on the
envelope superscribing “Application for PSTET” at Post Box No.1828, Post
Office Sector 62, Mohali (Punjab) PIN 160062 through ordinary post only
on or before 16-12-2013. The candidate must keep a photocopy of the
Confirmation Page for use as reference for future correspondence.
Instructions for Online Application:
1. Candidates have to apply online through the website www.tetpunjab.com
2. Click on Applicants Login and fill all the information and upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature and then Submit.
3. After successful registration, take print out of bank challan form and pay the application fee through Challan or through online mode.
4. After successful deposition of examination fees, candidates should take the print of the Confirmation Page.
5. The candidate must keep a photocopy of the Confirmation Page for use as reference for future correspondence.
6. The Confirmation Page must be sent in an envelope cover and paste address slip on the envelope super scribing “Application for PSET” and send to the above mentioned address.
